Applying to be an Eat Smart Child Care? Before you fill out an application, please consider the following questions:
- Is your child care facility participating in the Child and Adult Care Food Program (CACFP)?
- Have you carefully reviewed all the Eat Smart Guidelines for Child Care and understand what you need to do to meet them?
- Have you decided which level of the Eat Smart Guidelines for Child Care you want to apply for? Intermediate or Advanced?
- Do you believe you have made all of the changes needed for your facility to meet the Guidelines?
If you answer No to any of these questions, you might want to use some of the resources to help you qualify as an Eat Smart Child Care.

After we have reviewed and approved your application packet, we will arrange a visit to your facility to verify that you have met all the qualifications to become an Eat Smart Child Care. When all qualifications are met, you will be recognized by Missouri Eat Smart Child Care.
