- HemoCue Hemoglobin Analysis: Many local WIC providers have been contacted by the Masimo Company to purchase their Pronto Non Invasive Hemoglobin analyzer for the WIC hemoglobin check. Missouri currently contracts with HemoCue until January 25, 2015. During 2014 we will be evaluating what hemoglobin analyzer system to use once the HemoCue contract has ended. We will be requesting local agency input on which hemoglobin system will work best for MO WIC.
USDA may also be providing more guidance on different technologies that are available for the hemoglobin analysis that give accurate reporting of the hemoglobin and hematocrit levels for risk factor assignment. If you have any questions please contact your TA Nutritionist.
