Space is limited to 25 attendees, so it is important that you register early.

    2. Crystal Reports: As you may already know, we have been producing reports from MOWINS data for the last couple of years and make them available through Crystal Reports. A Table of Contents (TOC) has been placed on the Data & Statistical Reports website so local agency staff can view the available reports.

Periodically, updates will be made to existing reports and/or new reports will be posted. When this happens in the future, an article will be placed in the WIC Updates advising that a revised TOC is now available. The TOC will indicate any updated, new or deleted reports.

If you have any questions, please contact Michelle Nienhuis by phone at 800-392-8209 or by email at Michelle.Nienhuis@health.mo.gov.

    3. May WIC Invoices: WIC Invoices for May 2012, and prior months, submitted for payment in the month of June must be submitted through the Online WIC Invoicing System by close of business on Friday, June 8, 2012. Invoices submitted after that date will be held and paid in July, 2012. This change in schedule complies with the close of State Fiscal Year 2012 payment processing deadlines. If you have questions please contact Laura Weiler at Laura.Weiler@health.mo.gov or 573-526-7901.

    4. Toddlers, Smoke and Allergies: Attached is an article from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. A study finds that 2-year-olds who were around secondhand smoke are more likely to have less lung function at 7 years of age. And researchers say some have more risk than others. See the full article in the attachment. This is even a greater reason why WIC should continue promoting tobacco use cessation or secondhand smoke exposure reduction with participants and all local agency staff. If you have any questions, please contact your TA Nutritionist. (ONE ATTACHMENT)
