Can anyone call the TEL-LINK line?
Any Missouri resident can call the TEL-LINK information and referral line. You can find community resources for your family, and also order health education materials.

During what hours can I call TEL-LINK?
TEL-LINK is answered from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. CT. Recorded messages are taken after 5 p.m. on weekdays and throughout the day and night on weekends and state holidays. Your call will be returned during normal business hours.

Is TEL-LINK free and can I call from anywhere in Missouri?
Yes. Your call is free from anywhere in Missouri. TEL-LINK is not accessible outside of Missouri. However, every state has its own similar information and referral line.

Does TEL-LINK give recommendations for health care providers?
TEL-LINK can refer you to a local health agency or community health center in your area. If there is more than one, you will be told all of the available resources, and you can select the one you prefer.

Can TEL-LINK answer specific questions about my health?
TEL-LINK operators do not have a medical background. For specific medical questions, contact your health care provider.

Is my call confidential?
Yes! All Department of Health and Senior Services employees and contractors assure the confidentiality and security of information and records within their control.

Are there foreign language operators?
TEL-LINK contracts with an agency to provide various translations. The translator will be called and placed on the phone line with you and the TEL-LINK operator.

Are TEL-LINK brochures available?
TEL-LINK brochures are free and are available in the English, Spanish and Bosnian language. You may call 1-800-TEL-LINK (1-800-835-5465) to place an order.
