The Medically Fragile Adult Waiver (MFAW) Program provides service coordination and authorization for medically necessary services to MO HealthNet recipients with serious and complex medical needs who have reached the age of 21 and are no longer eligible to receive services through the Healthy Children and Youth (HCY) Program. Participants must require medical care equivalent to the level of care received in an intermediate care facility, not be enrolled in another waiver and have been eligible for private duty nursing through the HCY Program. Authorized services may include in-home personal care, in-home nursing care, skilled nursing visits, supplies and equipment.
